The standard Viscount keyboard is a custom Fatar TP/8L. Some improvements have been introduced in the basic TP/8L to make it more performing. In particular:

1) The keys are made of a thicker and stiffer plastic.

2) the color is ivory yellow, the surface of the key is satin, with some lines and edging engraved on the key to imitate the historical models.

3) the key weighing is different: a steel block is inserted in the front of the key, in a different position than the basic version.

4) the springs used are 100g. In the basic version, lighter springs are used (60g. standard, if I remember correctly).

5) a thick felt strip is added to the base of the keyboard: when the key is pressed, the stoppage is obtained both with key internal guide and with the felt strip. This is to give a better feeling: without this felt strip the down key can still move (even if slightly) to the right or left. With the felt the key remains more fully locked without lateral movements.

6) a sheet metal base (which also serves as a partition between the various keyboards) is added to the front base of the keyboard and a metal frame is added to the back. This makes the keyboard much more solid.

Yes, in your Sonus 40, as well as in all modern classic Viscount organs, the keyboards I have explained in post #16 are mounted.
These keyboards (which are actually very good) are provided as standard in all Viscount organs.
If you want different keyboards, you must specify it when ordering, so that the organ is built on request.

Warum wird in Digitalorgel-Prospekten und -Homepages nicht angegeben, welche Standard-Tastaturen die Instrumente haben? - "2 Manuale mit hochwertigen Druckpunktklaviaturen" ist nicht sehr informativ.

Das hängt vom Händler und Modell ab. Beispielsweise bei Bauer Music findest du zumindest bei den Instrumenten, die eine Klaviaturauswahl anbieten, auch die Bezeichnung der Serienklaviatur.

Und Kisselbach bildet zwar die Standardklaviatur ab, schreibt aber nicht dazu, um welche es sich handelt. Hoffrichter verwendet eigene Bezeichnungen.

Ich würde auch immer lieber eine UHT bekommen. Die werden leider nie direkt angegeben.

Für eine UHT-Klaviatur gibt es seit Jahren eine stabile Peilmarke, von ca. 2000,-€ pro Manual ;-).

Ja, der ist sehr nett, kompetent und hilfsbereit. Wenn man den Spieltisch selber baut auch sicher der richtige Ansprechpartner. Wenn man aber einen "fertigen" Spieltisch haben will, muss man das bei den Herstellern jeweils anfragen, ob die überhaupt für welches Modell UHT-Tastaturen anbieten und was das dann konkret für Aufpreis kostet.

Standard ist wohl immer Fatar und die UHT passen da nicht 1:1 rein, so dass die Orgel auch umgebaut werden muss, was mit weitern Kosten verbunden ist.
