Why did you change the pistons, if I may ask?

Yes, the cables are designed to be mounted on instruments with a different number of pistons. Sockets not used for a particular model are simply left unattached.
I have no idea if the function of that socket is programmed anyway (maybe it is a mixture reversible?), It would be enough to disconnect the plug from a piston and connect that unused plug and try.

A small note: in the Sonus series, the pistons of the combinations actually light up (if you try them with the rear panel open, you will see that they light up). They just haven't pre-drilled the holes in the wood (you can always do them carefully).
If you wonder why they have not prepared the standard light holes, the answer is that the cable used does not include a line for the Tutti piston LED (while the LED lines of the combinations are all there, and were preproggramed for other models). So it would be unaesthetic to have the combinations that light up and not the Tutti.

Yes, I also inverted the sequencer +/- pedal pistons.
The answer is that while playing, it is easier to find the piston closest to the pedal expression, and generally the "forward" piston is the one you use most often, so the foot has to find it more easily.

Thanks for the answer, I thought about something like that too... It is cheaper to leave an unused cable there rather than having two different assembling schemes.

The issue of the + piston position of the sequencer is something that caused a lot of troubles to me too, at the beginning, because I was constantly hitting the - instead of the +. I think the engineers in Mondaino must have heard my praises, from a far, whenever this happened...

Yes, that's exactly what I did when I fitted the optional pistons to my Sonus 40: right side +, left side -. They are very comfortable.
I had to add some cable because the standard one was not long enough to have the two pistons so far apart.
Fortunately the cabinet was pre-drilled for adding pistons, so positioning and alignment was much easier.

Beim Kauf meiner Concerto habe ich es auch gleich tauschen lassen. Setzer rückwärts benötige ich eigentlich nicht und bei drei Schwellpedalen ist mir " +" dann zu weit rechts. Ich möchte den Setzer halbwegs mittig betätigen können. Das in der Folge "-" jetzt etwas seltsam liegt ist für mich also kein Nachteil.

Ich habe bei mir -/+ genau in der Mitte des Gehäuses, also minus etwa über cis und plus etwa über dis. Damit kann man beides mit beiden Füßen erreichen. Die Schwelltritte liegen dann rechts davon.
